1. For a truly unforgettable adventure, make sure to include a visit to Innerspace Caverns on your itinerary. This remarkable cave system, nearly 5 miles deep and dating back over 20 million years, draws visitors from across the globe. Discovered in 1963 by drillers working on the construction of IH-35, the caverns reveal a fascinating world of natural wonder. As you explore, you'll encounter remnants of the original drilling operations amidst breathtaking stalactites and stalagmites. Choose between the 75-minute Adventure guided tour or dive deeper into exploration with the 4-hour Wild Cave Tour, complete with headlamp, helmet, and all. No trip to Georgetown is complete without delving into the depths of Innerspace Caverns. Secure your tour in advance for an experience you won't soon forget.

2. Georgetown's Downtown Square proudly boasts as "The Most Beautiful Town Square In Texas," a title they take seriously. Year-round, this vibrant hub hosts numerous FREE events, inviting you to immerse yourself in the local culture. Voted as one of the most picturesque Texas town squares, Georgetown lives up to its reputation. From exquisite Victorian architecture to a plethora of unique shops, delightful dining options, and captivating art scenes, Georgetown offers an experience like no other. Simply strolling through its streets becomes an adventure in itself, beckoning you to explore its every corner. While we can't verify this claim without visiting every town square in the state, we challenge you to experience its charm firsthand.

3. Prepare your taste buds for an extraordinary experience at this farm-to-table café, nestled within a charming bright green cottage that practically begs to be featured on your Instagram feed. But let's talk about more than just looks— their pastries are nothing short of divine, each bite a tantalizing journey of flavor and freshness. And if you're still on Sweet Lemon's fence, consider this: they've clinched the title of the best dessert place in town, a testament to their culinary prowess and dedication to decadence. Don't just take our word for it; indulge your senses and discover why this café is a must-visit destination for anyone with a sweet tooth and an appreciation for all things delicious.

4.  600 Degrees Pizza is a highly recommended place if you like your slices BIG and your crust thin and crispy. And their craft beer selection is one of the best. You can order a slice of pizza that’s bigger than your face without skimping on quality. They serve pizza, craft beer, and wings.

5. With a commitment to sourcing the freshest ingredients, El Monumento takes pride in crafting authentic Mexican cuisine from scratch. Their extensive daily menu features a delightful array of quintessential Mexican Aperitivos, including the irresistible Queso Flameado—a tantalizing fusion of melted quesadilla and Oaxacan cheese, perfectly complemented by poblano peppers and caramelized onions. For those seeking a lighter start, an assortment of traditional-style soups and salads awaits, promising a flavorful introduction to a memorable dining experience. When it comes to Tex-Mex, El Monumento just gets it. Do yourself a favor and order the prickly pear margarita!

6. Not to be confused with the natural swimming hole in Wimberley by the same name, Georgetown’s Blue Hole is a part of the San Gabriel River, which runs north of Austin.  Nestled in the picturesque Texas Hill Country, Georgetown boasts its own enchanting swimming hole, beckoning visitors to unwind, bask in the warmth of the sun, and reconnect with nature. Whether you're seeking a leisurely swim or simply craving a moment of serenity amidst stunning natural surroundings, this lagoon promises the perfect escape.

7. San Gabriel Park holds the esteemed title of a Lone Star Legacy Park, an honor bestowed upon it by the Texas Recreation & Parks Society in March 2012. Among just nine parks in Texas to receive this prestigious designation in its inaugural year, San Gabriel Park stands out for its historical significance and its role in providing natural solace and communal gathering spaces as Georgetown flourished.

The park's beauty is accentuated by majestic 200-year-old oak trees, offering idyllic settings for family picnics and leisurely strolls. Encompassing 180 acres, San Gabriel Park hosts a myriad of activities, from concerts and festivals to sports fields catering to soccer, football, lacrosse, and baseball enthusiasts.

A network of hike and bike trails weaves through the park, including a scenic 1.6-mile loop and connecting segments leading to Blue Hole Park, Rivery Park, Chautauqua Park, and extending all the way to Lake Georgetown.
